Ryan Jones is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who completed his training at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. His work is grounded in classical, principle based osteopathy and an understanding that the body functions as a connected whole. Through gentle, non invasive manual treatment, Ryan supports the nervous system and encourages the body to regain control of its own healing process. His focus is on creating sustainable, long term change for individuals experiencing both acute and chronic concerns.
Ryan learned about Exeter Massage and Integrative Care through a colleague while searching for a professional environment centered on patient wellbeing. When he visited, he was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming people, the calming atmosphere, and the integrity of the practitioners who currently work within the clinic.
Ryan’s decision to pursue Osteopathy began with his appreciation for its unique philosophy. Osteopathy considers the entire body and its functioning systems, using assessment to understand where something has gone off course and gentle manipulation to bring about change. The approach interacts with the nervous system in a way that allows the body to re establish balance. In Ryan’s words, no other healthcare modality offered a perspective like this, and the fact that it works is what inspired him to commit fully to the profession.
His personal experience also shaped his journey. After eighteen years working as an electrician with Hydro One, he developed severe back pain that affected his ability to participate in daily activities and healthy movement. Within six months of receiving osteopathic treatment, he regained his function without the need for surgery. The experience reaffirmed his belief in non invasive care and strengthened his desire to offer the same possibility to others.
Ryan’s background in the electrical and farming industries gives him a deep understanding of the physical demands of manual labour. He has seen how repetitive positions and daily strain can affect the body. This experience informs his treatment approach and reinforces his goal of helping people maintain their health so they can continue doing the things that matter most in their lives.
What he finds most meaningful about his work is the ability to provide gentle, effective support that relieves pain and encourages healing. Connecting with individuals and helping them leave in a better condition than when they arrived is one of the most rewarding parts of his practice.
Ryan completed the four year Master of Practice Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. His education included immersive training in osteopathic theory, classical osteopathic philosophy, anatomy, physiology, and the functional relationships within the body.
He spent six months each year in a supervised clinical setting at the school’s public clinic where he gained significant hands on experience treating a wide range of age groups and health concerns. This training helped him develop the skills needed to practice safe and effective manual osteopathy.
Ryan is also currently completing Compassionate Inquiry, a trauma informed therapy program developed by Dr. Gabor Maté in collaboration with leading trauma and addiction specialists. This additional training supports his goal of offering a safe space for clients who benefit from talk based therapeutic guidance alongside manual treatment.

Ryan welcomes individuals of all ages and backgrounds and has no preference regarding the conditions he treats. He believes everyone deserves access to gentle, effective care.
He wants patients to understand that osteopathy works with the whole body, using a gentle and logical approach to encourage change. His goal is always to help the body move with as little restriction and pain as possible.
Ryan describes his treatment philosophy as a whole body approach that considers all the moving parts beneath the surface. By creating change in one area, the rest of the body can begin to function more effectively and without obstruction.
Ryan grew up on a farm outside of Lambeth and has strong connections to the community. He has been happily married for twenty three years and has three children. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys travelling, yoga, and ongoing education that supports both personal and professional growth.
