Counselling therapy is provided by Counsellors/Social Workers, registered and regulated health professionals who work with individuals, couples, and families to help develop new coping skills or strengthen existing ones. The counsellor works in a collaborative client and social worker relationship.
Sessions are confidential and are tailored to specific concerns and needs of the client, with the goal of enhancing mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.
Marique Crossen MSW, RSW believes a strong indicator of success in counselling is the “fit” in the relationship between counsellor and client. She encourages individuals she counsels to recognize that they come with strengths and values and helps them recognize and access those to achieve the best possible solutions to their concerns.
Concerns that are unique to different ages from young children to seniors can be addressed.
